Ownership
Every employee holds equity in the firm. There is no separate class for the founders.
Most of the work is finding out you were mistaken, early and cheaply. If that sounds like a good day, we should talk.
01 — Who thrives here
Our best people share an unusual combination: they are genuinely excited to be contradicted, and they do not need credit for being right. Both traits are rarer than they sound.
We are not looking for people who already know the answer. We are looking for people who can design the experiment that would tell us whether they are wrong.
The work is quiet, technical and cumulative. There are no trading floors shouting at screens, and no bonus tied to a quarterly number.
We do not screen on credentials. Where you studied matters far less than what you have built, and whether you can explain it.
02 — Open roles
We review applications on a rolling basis and reply to every one.
03 — What we offer
Every employee holds equity in the firm. There is no separate class for the founders.
One day a week is reserved for work that has no product owner and no deadline.
Full medical, dental and vision for employees and dependants, with twenty weeks of parental leave.
Your choice of hardware, a research budget, and no approval chain for a book or a course.
We do not fly people around to be seen. Conferences are optional and never a performance metric.
Compensation is tied to the firm's multi-year results, not to this quarter's noise.
Roles based in New York include visa sponsorship, immigration assistance and relocation support. Remote roles include a home-office stipend.
04 — Process
Thirty minutes on what you have built and what you want to learn.
A working session on a real problem, with our tools and our data.
You present something you found interesting. We argue about it.
Half a day with the people you would actually work alongside.
Every role page opens a short application form: your CV, a link or two, and a few questions. We read every one and reply within five working days.
